My 5 Star Review
"You both were children who were forced to become adults, and now you’re adults who are acting like children.
Amelia London is a former child star and she took her image seriously as she grew up. She is America’s Sweetheart and known for her good girl persona. In a world where celebrities are acting out and breaking, she has held her composure and acted her part. Even when the guy she thought was her forever publicly cheated on her. She hasn’t forgotten Noah’s betrayal and still hurts and questions his motives.
Noah Sloan is known as Hollywood’s bad boy a part he loves to play. When we first meet him he is screwing a random girl in a bathroom stall and minutes later popping pills. If that wasn’t enough to peak my interest his egotistical, arrogant attitude did. I was immediately wondering what this former child star who had the world at his fingertips was so angry about. He is wealthy, successful and sexy enough to get away with just about anything in Hollywood, so why so angry.
The problem with child stars, they grow up and usually fade away. In a last ditch effort to save their failing careers they sign on to play a movie adaption of the new erotic best seller Sinners Like Us. Now they are forced to play a couple, Blair and Damon, who love without conditions or restraint. They love like Noah and Amelia used to love before everything fell apart. Now as they play this famous couple they have to decide where to draw the boundaries.
This first installment completely blew me out of the water. When you read JJ’s stories you need to expect the unexpected. When I started this I was in love with the concept. First, all I could think about was the making of Fifty Shades. Then I was in love with a possible second chance romance. In the end, I was left wishing I could read faster because my mind was blown. If you have read JJ’s books you know her stories always push boundaries and are full of originality, I can already tell this series is on the same track. Only Part 1 in and I am hooked!
Child Star is a three part serial with set release dates, so no endless waiting!!
