Five years ago, we’d been together and on fire, but the flames burned us both. Now she’s back in my life and is all my wildest fantasies in the flesh. I want her. The desire is too powerful to argue against, but I’m not interested in what we had. This is an arrangement about pleasure and finding out who we are behind closed doors. There won’t be talk of love or any sweet nothings whispered by either of us. This time, I’ll control the heat between us and make sure neither of our hearts get too close to the flames.
My Review

Three Sweet Nothings is the fifth book in the series, but each book features a different couple and can be read as a standalone. I love series like this because starting the book feels familiar and I love reconnecting with the other characters. Knowing Kyle was Peyton's sister I felt connected. This story is a little different as it is a second chance romance and doesn't involve the Blindfold Club as much.

Ruby and Kyle dated in college but broke up when Kyle moved away. Naturally, there is a little more to the story as you can imagine. Miscommunications are not always my favorite type of stories, but it made more sense since these two were going their separate ways when their misunderstanding occurred.

When these two come back together in a client meeting there is definitely sparks and I was hooked. I loved how the story was told in dual point of view so you could see both of their desires and thoughts. I love knowing all sides of the story and how it helped me connect to Kyle and Ruby.

This series is seriously hot! Sloane has quickly become my go-to author when I am looking for steamy, but this story had a lot of heart and romance. I actually enjoyed seeing more romance with the steaminess. Regardless, what you are looking for sexy or sweet, this is a perfect read!

About the Author: Nikki Sloane landed in graphic design after her careers as a waitress, a screenwriter, and a ballroom dance instructor fell through. For eight years she worked for a design firm in that extremely tall, black, and tiered building in Chicago that went through an unfortunate name change during her time there. Now she lives in Kentucky and manages a team of graphic artists. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, is married with two sons, writes dirty books, and couldn’t be any happier.
